Brian E. Lacey helps charities, businesses and people to use their resources effectively to achieve and protect their goals and values. While assisting on a variety of matters, Brian increasingly helps charities and people implement their philanthropic goals and assists his clients in navigating the legal challenges and opportunities posed by intellectual property ownership and the Internet. His passion for these matters has been enhanced as he has served as a fiduciary of various charitable concerns, including, since 1995, the Treasurer of Boston's historic Park Street Church. Generally, Brian counsels charities, foundations, churches, businesses, families and individuals in the areas of non-profit law, charitable giving, intellectual property concerns such as trademarks, copyright and licensing issues, trusts and estates, fiduciary concerns and real estate matters. Brian joined Richardson and Tyler, LLP in 1991. He is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A., 1983), The London School of Economics and Political Science (MSc, 1984) and Boston College Law School (J.D., 1990). Brian is a member of the Non-Profit and Tax-Exempt and Probate Sections of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Intellectual Property and Probate and Real Property Sections of the American Bar Association.
